To unite owners around Yachting Values
The Principality of Monaco has always been a key destination in the Yachting world. A union of people who love the sea, the Yacht Club de Monaco’s mission, presided over by HSH Prince Albert II since 1984, is to support the owners around a certain “Art de Vivre la Mer” and to pass on to them our maritime inheritance and maritime culture. In 2013, the Yacht Club de Monaco founded by Prince Rainier III, will celebrate its 60th Anniversary.
Respect for etiquette at sea, safeguarding the environment, honoring our sailing heritage and promoting the very latest technologies: these values lie at the heart of the Club’s “La Belle Classe” label, through which the YCM unites owners and all those involved in Yachting by offering them a forum for communication and discussion.
Be they owners of classic or period yachts (“La Belle Classe Tradition”) or of a 40m-plus yacht (“La Belle Classe Superyachts”), the “La Belle Classe by the Yacht Club de Monaco” label brings together owners who wish to see an evolution in the Yachting world while defending its essential values.
Given Monaco’s position as the world’s most emblematic superyacht destination, the Yacht Club de Monaco has taken the initiative to develop from the “La Belle Classe” label La Belle Classe Destinations to unite superyacht owners who share a passion for Yachting, by offering a marina and yacht club network of excellence, be it in terms of quality of service, maritime heritage, commitment to the environment or its integration into the local community. Being a member of “La Belle Classe” is a real commitment in favour of an activity where courtesy and respect reign, where regatta rhymes with fair-play, naval etiquette with “savoir-vivre” and elegance with spectacle. All members of “La Belle Classe” have shown their desire to be part of this very select “Club” by signing a charter which represents a real commitment and desire to build the future.
